So Very Dark

I re-watched Evita last night.

I had only seen it once before and had been wanting to do so again ever since seeing the Simpson’s parody episode.

I’d forgotten how much I like that movie.  It’s well done.  It made me cry at the end.  And it has some great songs in it.  I particularly like ‘Another Suitcase in Another Hall’…especially since it’s followed by ‘Good-night and Thank You’.

I remember my mom telling me about Eva Peron when I was a little girl, about what an amazing person she was.

Every once in a while, I’m reminded that there are people,  now and then, that are actually pretty good.  Of course, they usually end up dying young.   I have been given to understand that if you are generally a right bastard, you usually granted near immortality.  And vis/versa.

Other than that…um…my mommy made me Chicken Pot Pie for dinner last night.

She got to go see Willy Nelson in concert on Monday–since the friend she went with ‘knows people’ they were able to get front row seats…and apparently, Willy was totally checking my mom out during the show.

Kinna cool, right?

Other than that…I’ve been doing some drawing and doodling here and there…finishing up character sketches for the first panel of ‘Game Bois’.  My computer has been a total bitch lately, though.  ANNOYING!  Last night it rebooted mid-photoshop, and then didn’t want to work right — it tried to tell me that I needed to reinstall my tablet drivers.   I got it to work long enough to finish what I was doing, but then it ‘encountered and error and needed to close’.  Whatever.  I was done with it anyway.  Stupid Photoshop.

I’m wearing new pants today and they are a little snug–all un-broken in and such.

I’m listening to Coldplay ’cause I had to put on something to drown out Helen’s lite rock.  At least I have that ability now.
