But on the other hand…

It’s been an on again-off again frustrating day.

1. My thermos didn’t, as earlier mentioned, get quite as well rinsed as it might have last time it was washed.  I tried to con Briggs into coming and getting me and taking me to Starbucks, but he said he needed to *sleep* or something silly like that.  So, junkie that I am, I forced myself to chug lemony-fresh tea.  Eww.  I don’t even like *real* lemon in my tea, much less lemon-scented soap.

  + =

2. Carol pulled us each aside individually today to get a rundown on what our jobs are, just so she has a clear idea of what we each do and who is who’s superior. (why didn’t she already know this?)  After talking to me about what my job is, she then proceeded to talk to me about what an art director’s assistant does.  Basically, she’s the company’s art director, and if I can fit it into my schedule, since I have artistic knowledge and skill and know what a JPG and TIFF are, she wanted to know if I would be interested in being her assistant.  This is something interesting to break up the monotony of my invoice-entering work-day AND be something career related that could go on a resume.

She offered me this really cool chance on THE DAY I was putting in my 2- week notice.  Of course.

3. Um…other stuff…customers were annoying…I think I was high on dishsoap…I had a *lot* of invoices to enter today…

4. Our washing machine takes a freaking DAY to go through a cycle.  I put in a load shortly after getting home.  It’s now almost 7pm and last I checked (not long ago) it still wasn’t done.  Briggs says that ‘if I don’t put it on the extra wash setting it won’t take so long’.  Well, maybe I want my clothes extra clean!

5. My boyfriend has been giving me a hard time about everything today.  He’s cruisin’ for a bruisin’.

6. Although I found out it is *not* too late to send in my financial aid stuff, there are a number of items in the packet that I am hesitant to sign before speaking to someone from the school…the way they are written, they sound a little like, ‘send this in and commit automatically to a student loan without the chance to survey your other options’.  So I wasn’t able to get very far on my info.

When Gino and Tony come talk to me, I want it to be on *my* terms.

7. I have been typing like a retard today.

8. We were going to get food from Gary Chu’s — we picked out what we wanted and everything — and it turns out that they are closed on mondays.

(closest I could find to an image of Martini Prawns)

…however…

A couple people *might* be interested in buying my car.  Someone is actually wanting to come look at it tomorrow. YAY!

Um…new Heroes tonight!

We *are* having Chinese food from China Bowl.

AANNDDDDDD….my laundry might be done by now, so I should go check so I can hang it before Briggs gets back with the food.

Trying to Moonwalk

I have ‘Every Little Step’ (Aaron Carter?  Bobby Brown) stuck in my head.

It reminds me of elementary school Skate Nights at CalSkate.

I can’t sleep at night, I toss and turn
Listenin’ for the telephone
But when I get your call I’m all choked up
Can’t believe you called my home
And as a matter of fact, it blows my mind
You would even talk to me
Because a girl like you is like a dream come true
A real life fantasy

No matter what your friends try to tell ya
We were made to fall in love
And we will be together, any kind of weather
It’s like that, it’s like that

Every little step I take
You will be there
Every little step I make
We’ll be together
Every little step I take
You will be there
Every little step I make
We’ll be together

I can’t think too straight, I’m all confused
You must’ve put a thing on me
Because there aren’t no words that can explain
I’m livin’ in ecstacy
And you can best believe, I got ya back
You never have to feel no pain
‘Cause I’d dedicate my life to you
You’ll never look for love again
No matter what your friends try to tell ya
We were made to fall in love
And we will be together, any kind of weather
It’s like that, it’s like that

Every little step I take
You will be there
Every little step I make
We’ll be together
Every little step I take
You will be there
Every little step I make
We’ll be together

Every little…woo!
Every little step I…
Every little step (Every little…every little step I take)
We’ll be together

Good lovin’…

The Final Countdown

Oh eww. The soap *so* didn’t get washed out of my thermos. Soap-flavored tea. mm.

I took some NyQuil last night. Knocked my a** out. My LORD.

Unfortunately, I took it a little late, so come morning I wasn’t *quite* ready to wake up. Oh well.

Yesterday marked the beginning of the one month countdown. I have been trying to decide if I should put in my 2 weeks notice today, and then have 2 weeks in which to pack and get all the other crud that needs doing done–on the one hand it seems potentially premature, but on the other, it might really be a good idea. I have a lot to do:

-Pack everything I need to pack/getting rid of that I don’t.

-Try to figure out a way to keep mom from conning me into keeping all her keep-sakes (I already have accepted 3 afghans that I am not quite sure what to do with).

-Doctor and dentist appointments

-Final essay and final project for my lame English class.

-Potentially get the first 2 episodes of ‘Game Bois’ written/drawn/all that crap.

-Sell my freaking car (anyone want to buy a used Toyota Camry?).

-finish getting my music properly tagged and onto my Ipod.

-Freak out about everything from my mom making me crazy, to how I’m never going to be ready in time, to how much I’m going to miss everyone, to how I suck for not having saved nearly the amount of money I had hoped to (suck soooo much).

-Keep mom from being or acting clinically depressed.

-Figure out what we are going to do with all our junk. GOD. (anyone want to buy an oak(? some kind of nice wood) bedroom set?)

-Try to spend a little quality time with homies pre-departure.

sooo…in light of all that, two weeks seems, if anything, piddly.

I can’t believe I’m moving in a month.

*moment for hyperventilating and chest pain*

Last night Briggs and I started watching this new series that’s out called ‘Drive’. It’s about a giant illegal underground cross-country road race. One of the main characters is Captain Mal from Firefly:

Another is the girl who plays the *other* stepsister in Ever After:

We are three episodes in, and so far, not bad. All the main characters have their ‘reason’ that winning is important. And it’s all secret and underground and illegal, so the people running it can totally f**k with the players. Haha!

Watched the new episode of Doctor Who. Martha is currently captured by the Daleks. Perhaps she’ll die! (yes, just like the old lady who swallowed a fly.)

I *really* need to cut my nails.

*edit*

Ohh!  New ‘Heroes’ tonight!
