Last night after my English class, a few of my classmates were heading over to The Rose to get a pint. I declined as I had a ride coming for me (and don’t drink and don’t like social situations).
Then, leaving Emeritus hall, I walked past a classroom where the teacher was sitting causally on a desk, lecturing, with the students watching him attentively. I don’t know what the class *was* but I really kind of wanted to go in and find out, sit down and get a little extra school for the evening.
Ugh! The fates were *totally* against me today. I actually started getting dressed pretty much on time this morning, and decided to make it simple — jeans and a shirt, no makeup, ponytail.
I could *not* find a shirt to go with my jeans. They’re jeans, right? EVERYTHING goes with them? Nope. I tried on like, 3 or 4 different shirts. And I just did laundry, so I *do* have clean clothes.
And of course my ponytail didn’t want to cooperate.
And of course I hit *every* light on the red. (Almost anyway)
And then–at the stoplight to turn onto Coffey Lane (where I work) I hit a red on the turn arrow. Now this arrow can totally dictate whether I’m a *little* late or kind of over the line. It’s a long light. When I got there it was already red, so I figured I would wait…i guess, a medium amount of time?
While I was sitting there–it turned green, 2 CARS WENT AND IT TURNED RED AGAIN! No joke. Darn light. Darn fates.
