She not allergic to nuts — She’s just not a cannibal.

My mom.

Crazy.

’nuff said.

She worked Thursday night.  Before leaving she was venting her irritation to me and mentioned that she was probably working on Friday as well.

So yesterday (Friday) I sent her an email to let her know that , btw, there was a girls night at Heather’s so I would be there, and I wanted to let her know just in case, but it probably wasn’t an issue as she was probably working that night.

She wrote back to say, basically, ‘that sucks.  My work got canceled tonight and I thought we could hang out.  Oh well.  I’ll just sit alone in the dark where no one loves me.’  How dare I have plans, right?  Especially on a night when she had told me she was working.  Grr.

So she calls me around 6 yesterday to reiterate the basic gist of her email, to which I replied that we could still hang out on Saturday.  She responded with something along the lines of, ‘well, you’ll probably sleep until I’m getting ready to go to bed, so we won’t really hang out at all.’ I rolled my eyes and told her that we would too.

I discovered that I lost my debit card in the ATM and when I got home, called the bank and was told that the branch had it safe and sound and I could pick it up in the morning.  Briggs and I discussed, *right in front of her*, that he would wake me up when he got home and we would run down to the bank to pick it up.

This morning, I was getting ready to go when mom pops in to see if I was up yet.  I mention that Briggs and I are getting ready to run down to the bank and get my card and she gets all huffy and ‘oh.  Well, I thought WE were going to go do that, but whatever.  Fine.  I wish you’d let me know what your plans were so I know what’s going on.  I had other things I could have done today, but I canceled my plans to do this.’

Still waiting for the caffeine to work and confused as hell, I thought a loud mental ‘Whatever…’ and Briggs and I went to the bank, Starbucks and Target (ooh…exciting errands.)   We got home and mom was gone, having taken off to Rio Nido to go visit my dad.  I give her a call and mention that I had thought that since I was now done with *very unexciting* errands, we could hang out — maybe go grocery shopping, get stuff for dinner and have fun cooking together and chatting.  She gives me this shpeal  about how she had gotten the impression that I had decided to go spend the whole day hanging out with Briggs, so she decided to go do something else — which is BULL CRAP.  Seriously BULL CRAP.  I had said *directly* to her as she was bitching this morning, that Briggs and I were just going downtown to get my bank card.

And people wonder why I’m moving….

Winkin, Blinkin and Nod

It’s late.

I need to sleep, but I have so much trouble forcing myself to bed.

Today was long — warehouse and aching feet.

I lost my bank card, but luckily it was found and the bank has it waiting for me to pick up tomorrow.

I brought my Starbucks their comic and they *loved* it — they didn’t make me pay for my drinks and hung it up in the back and told me it would stay there forever.  I love it when people like stuff I make for them.

Girl’s night at Heather’s was fun — Me, Heather, Kristin, Crissy, Erin, Molly, Carrie and Karly.  Though not all at the same time.  There were shis-kabobs and pesto pasta and strawberries and cranberry juice.  We chatted and gossiped and watched ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ (Anne Hathaway is obnoxiously pretty — kind of a mix between Sandra Bullock and Audry Hepburn.  Huge eyes.  Great hair) and about half of ‘Shaun of the Dead’.  I had forgotten how funny that movie is.

I stayed late and I’m staying up later.

Reading a great book.

Night all.
