Friday

Today we put together desks. Ok…Briggs put together desks while I read to him about the Yule Ball, and Hagrid’s confession to Madame Maxine regarding his parentage.

<– Briggs’ desk  <– My desk (there is a shelf on it too, and no keyboard rack or computer hanger)

<–Hagrid and Madame Maxine. Although, of course, in the book, she is NOT taller than him, and instead of stupid formalwear, everyone is wearing dress robes…except Hagrid. They did get his suit pretty much right.

The TV is now living in the living room, and tomorrow we get a coffee table.

I am never going to have enough places to put stuff. Ugh. I am going to try to shelve some books tonight, but I definitely don’t have enough room for them all. We are going to need a lot more shelves.

I am feeling apathetic, unmotivated and lonely tonight. I want to hang with some homies and talk about nonsense, or even have a girlfriend come lounge around while I make a half-hearted attempt to put things away.

I turned off the AC, but the vent is still blowing cool air on me from the floor, and my slightly-too-small Halloween T-shirt just isn’t cutting it, insulation-wise.

We need to get monitors so I can get my computer set up.

I need to get a job, because my money is starting to be considerably less. Why can’t people just GIVE me money?!? I don’t want a job. I want to be a trust-fund baby, or at least have a sugar-daddy. I hate how I go places to get stuff I need and then have to pay for that stuff. I think I should only have to pay for extravagances. If I want a ball gown, I should pay for it. If I need food, or books, they should be given to me.

<– Ball Gown

Yesterday I went to the comic book store where I bought Adam’s model of Filler Bunny:

I wanted to get an application to work there. The guy gave me one, but he was totally surly and unenthusiastic, and told me that they really had everyone they needed for the summer. :P Then I wandered around and looked at comics, but they were SO disorganized that I totally passed my impulse buying threshold by the time I found stuff I wanted. I realized I could get all the stuff I wanted off of Amazon cheaper and faster and MUCH more organized…I mean, you choose a book and they’ll offer you 3 more in that series and 5 that are similar, sometimes even in packaged deals. Screw you, comic book store!
Briggs and I are both very bitter about having to purchase our own household items after I attended his step-brother’s fiance’s bridal shower. Just because neither of us believe in the institution of marriage, we don’t get to tell people to buy us stuff for our new home? SO unfair. His step brother’s fiance got like, 3 different spice racks/spices and 3 crock pots. (and seriously…don’t people read current registry lists? I’d never even been to a bridal shower before and *I* knew to do so.) I don’t have any spice racks or any crock pots. AND I’m not going to make my closest friends pay lots of money for ugly dresses. But she gets presents and I don’t. :P I don’t think the system works.

<–I found this while I was looking for a picture for ‘bridal shower presents’. Pretty awesome! I think I’m gonna register for it. I want guacamole.

On the plus side, I am beating Kristin at Monopoly this week, apparently. I feel like Lance Armstrong. :D

Wishing for attention

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me,

Think I’ll go eat worms.

Big fat juicy ones, Eensie weensie squeensy ones,

See how they wiggle and squirm.

Chomp off their heads and squeeze out the juice

and throw the tails away

nobody knows how I survive

on worms 3 times a day.

It’s almost 4 in the morning. I have eaten a strange combination of foods tonight and my stomach isn’t sure what to think about them….raisinettes, left over tortellini with spinach and feta, animal crackers, tea and cranberry juice. Hmm.

It’s the middle of the night but birds are singing.

I need to put some clothes away in my new dresser.

I need to pee.

I’m sleepy.

Every time an electrical appliance has a function kick in in this house, the lights dim a little.

*Edit*  oh yeah…also, some jalepeno stuffed olives and stale cheez-its.
