I took my first bath in my new bathtub tonight, to mixed review. It is definitely a bit bigger and deeper than my old one (what ISN’T?)

and made out of some material that seems harder and more ‘real’ than the fiberglass that my old one was made of (cast iron, perhaps? I’m not sure)…however…the sides of the tub are a lot more vertical all around. As a result, I couldn’t recline against the back of the tub–sitting up straight was about my only option, which definitely took something away from the experience.

I tried to use a hand towel as a pillow, but it didn’t really work. In the end I cut the soak short, but I am hoping that a bath pillow will rectify the problem. More updates when new information is available.

My cat was so cute–I heard her scratching at the bathroom door a couple times when I was int he bath, and when I finished my bath/shower and opened the door, she had laid down right in front of it. When she saw me she did her famous ‘forgive me for all sins ’cause I’m cute’ roll onto her back. Aww….
