Thunder here is so much louder than I’m used to.

All I can say is that my life is very plain

Another day.

On Tuesday, after a frustrating morning of getting rejected for student loans, Briggs and I decided to get out of the house for a little while. On, by the way, one of the muggiest days I have experienced. The sky was heavy with unshed rain, and the temperature was a windless 81 degrees or so. Unplesant.

We went to the copy store on the Southside and printed out resumes. We stopped at Edward Marc chocolateir and ended up buying a box of chocolate.

We drove down to the Works and I dropped off my application and resume at Z Gallery (a pricey Peir 1 type store with pretty stuff),

then we headed over to the Waterfront and saw ‘Surf’s Up’–the Movie about surfing penguins.

It was cute. It wasn’t a Shrek or even an Ice Age…but it was definitely cute and entertaining. And the level of skill that digital animation has reached at this point is kind of astounding. Next we went to Giant Eagle (stupid name for a grocery store, btw) and bought some food, and when we got home…I cooked our first ‘real’ meal in the apartment. I made Kielbasa and sauerkraut, and baked potatoes, and it was the first thing we had eaten in the apartment that wasn’t take out or from the freezer section. It was super exciting.

Yesterday was less than glamorous. Since the clouds had finally burst about half way to the theater the night before, the air had lost it’s moisture and the weather was beautiful in a very California way…clear and dry (but not too dry) and sunny (but not too sunny)…it was an almost perfect day. So, of course, it ends up being the day that Briggs and I have a lot more keeping us inside than taking us out.

We put up my closet rods. So I have some of my clothes hung. And of course, when I say ‘we put up’ I mean, Briggs did the manly stuff and I kept him entertained by reading him Harry Potter. We finished Book 4 yesterday, so now we get to start Order of the Phoenix. I’m very excited. I, myself, have only read books 5 and 6 once each, and book 5 will be the first book that doesn’t already have a movie out. That is if we hop to it. :)

Our landlord came over to get our lease.

I did laundry.

Then, since Wednesdays are Briggs’ Mondays, he took a nap in late afternoon. I was feeling a bit drowsy myself so I ended up joining him.

Yeah. The gorgeous weather was so wasted on us.

Last night after Briggs went to work, I took a shower, hung some clothes, made instant mashed potatoes and microwaved a hot dog and watched Angel while I ate dinner, then checked my messages, since I had forgotten to take my phone off of vibrate after the movie.

i had one from my mom:

…who i didn’t call back since it was about 12:30 here, so about…sometime past her bedtime there.

I also had one from Adam and Carrie who were calling me from the Bowling for Soup concert at the Sonoma Marin Fair.

They called me during the song ‘Ohio’ and sang along.  It brought a smile to my face and perhaps a few sentimental tears to my eyes.  I gave them a call and ended up talking with Carrie for an hour or more and getting caught up on all the local gossip and drama that I am missing.

And now, before it’s too late and Firefox starts being a Bizzle Nizzle again, I’m going to post this.  My life is a roller coaster of fun.  You know you’re jealous.
