Craving

Baked potatoes with plenty of butter.

I was actually a good girl and did responsible stuff tonight!

…now where’s my cookie?

*scratches head in confusion*

My cat has a favorite spot she likes to sit in on the back of the couch. However, if I carelessly drape a jacket or sweatshirt across it, regardless of the garment’s position, she will insist upon sleeping on it for hours. Longer if the garment is black.

Cats are so darn contrary.

I have things to do tonight, plans derailed by Brendan’s jesting link to a fan fiction site with a number of stories that I became entangled in for more time that I intended.

I have computer proficiency tests to do for the staffing agency that I interviewed for today, since my interviewer couldn’t convince the computers to do her bidding when I was there. I’m procrastinating. Those tests are so tedious. I also need to re-format a bit of my resume–a task that is always a challenge, as Brennian created the document for me in a rather decorative and pleasing style, the result of which being that any time past that I desired to change anything, I invariably had to fiddle with it for a good period of time to keep the lines and bullets in the right places. Probably, I should just make a new one, create something with a little less flair but a bit more functionality, but I like flair, and the project will be time-consuming (says the girl who just spent a few hours reading fan fiction).

I have projects I want to work on, and others I have promised attention to.

I have not had dinner yet, and though I feel that I should, I also find that I lack the motivation at the moment. If I had something to pick at — a box of leftovers from dinner at a resteraunt, perhaps — I would surely stand at the counter with a fork in one hand and an open poly-styrene container in the other, but I fear that lazy dining is not an option at the moment. More’s the pity.

My cat has returned to her spot, not at the far inside corner, as she favors, but on top of the black skirt I draped over the couch back after my interview this morning. She has even abandoned the velveteen covering of my stool that collects her hair so well in order to shed on my dark-hued clothing. How touching.
