Ok…the funniest thing about parodies are definitely the people who don’t GET the fact that they are parodies.
I just read great take-off on Labyrinth Fanfiction…and some of the reviews had me laughing even harder than the story itself.
On the one hand you have the high and mighty ‘You are slaughtering a wonderful movie. Just because you look up a flowerier word in your thesaurus, that doesn’t make it better! Take some remedial writing classes! Jim Henson is rolling over in his grave and I hate you!’
On the other hand, you have the people who didn’t get it, but still *liked* it. ‘OMG! That was soooo the best story ever! It was so sad when Sarah almost died, but then Jareth saved her! He’s so sexy LOL!’
