I had forgotton the entirity of the job I left waiting on Friday.
I have boxes of customer files that need to be sorted by number, then entered into the computer…I have broken them down by the first 6 digits, and now have stacks and piles and boxes everywhere that need to be sorted and integrated with the files that Jessica has.
Yesterday was way cooler than this, even if walking in my shiny brown shoes with the heals DID make my feet sore. At least there was some variety in my tasks.
I know I shouldn’t complain. Only 3 more days, and that includes today. I just don’t want to be here, and I’m also a bit stressed about post-start of school employment. I went and applied at Calico Jack’s yesterday, but the theme seems to be a bit less pirate a bit more sports-bar/resteraunt. To be fair, it IS right between the two stadiums, but…The bartender was wearing a tight black tanktop with the resteraunt’s logo, and had long, shiny hair, and the wait-staff were wearing polo-shirts in the resteraunt’s colors. Anyway, it IS close to the house, and if I could get a bartending job I could make tips (depending on what their base pay is it might be worthwhile) ….I would just rather work at a bookstore.
I applied at Barnes and Nobel yesterday and intend to just hound them until they hire me. I also re-applied online for Joseph-Beth Booksellers (this time with a resume!)…so hopefully one of them calls me. I just want to work at a bookstore! Is that so wrong?
Well, if nothing else, AIP DOES have student employment services, so I can use that as a resource as well…I’m just a little bummed ’cause my check for last week is ALL going to rent (all plus some, actually) and my check for this week is not even going to be for a full week (although, Jessica just callled to tell me she was running late and said that the only time someone came by to check on me yesterday, she told them I had just gone outside, so I can put yesterday on my timecard…hmm…) and that’s the last of my $ until I get a new job. And I’m trying to aim for something I don’t utterly loathe. 
Well, I should start working.

Ooh! I get to watch the new episode of Heroes tonight! I think the season premiere of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ was on last night as well. Score!

“eww again”
I was outside on my lunchbreak…looking through the window I expect to want my sweater, but upon exiting the building I quickly learned that it was beyond unnecessary. We had lovely weather last week, but today is disgusting and warm and humid. Yuck. I sweated sitting still in the plaza.
I DON’T want to walk home. 
…although, if I could do so right about now….

“anywhere but here”
Today, I wish I had, fortified by Starbucks, gone to Armstrong Woods for a leisurly morning hike with friends. Next, our travels would have taken us out to Jenner and we would have taken french bread and cheese out to Goat Rock and tried in vein to keep the sand out of our lunch before climbing on the rocks and playing a spontanious hour-long game of tag.
After returning to Santa Rosa feeling happily exhausted, there would have been a trip to the Whole Foods on Yulupa for dinner fixings, and mom would have made spaghetti and clam sauce for dinner while one of my girlies and I chatted with her in the kitchen and Briggs did…something…to his computer. Then we would lounge on the bed while watching something chick-flick-ish, half paying attention while we talked about stuff.
Afterwards, we would go to Aroma’s, bundled against the chilly September air and get hot drinks with burnt espresso.
