Well, I managed another night of Game without dying…and I blatantly lied to our bard, and he believed me.
But even more exciting…it snowed yesterday! I mean real snow! It didn’t stick or anything, but it was still pretty awesome. Briggs checked the weather forecast before we left to take me to school, and it said 40% chance of snow, and for some reason I didn’t think much of it, kind of mentally shrugged it off. Then we stepped outside to go to the car and guess what? (I bet you’ve already figured it out…you guys are so smart…)

yeah…it was totally snowing. Kind of like in the picture, only not night time. Like I said, it didn’t stick…I don’t think that it was cold enough or that the snow was heavy enough…but there was a coating of snow on top of Briggs’ car and on many other cars we passed on the way to AIP, and throughout the next couple hours snow in larger and lesser amounts continued to fall past the window behind me. Good thing we had studio time, because if I had been supposed to pay attention to a lecture, I wouldn’t have done very well. By noon or so it had pretty much stopped…there were one or two tiny flurries–little flakes sputtering through the air for a couple minutes–but that was pretty much it.
It didn’t pick up last night either…I looked out my bathroom window this morning, and no winter wonderland. But it DID snow and that’s what matters.
Last night Briggs and I finally tried out the sandwich place around the corner (named, almost ironically, Peppi’s) and…dude…freaking delicious. Onion rings–awesome. Sandwich–freakin’ awesome. We got this steak sandwich with cheese and tomatoes and roasted red peppers and portabella mushroom and horseradish sauce….really good.
<–this is not the sandwich WE had, but it is another one made by Peppi’s…the ‘Roethlis-Burger’ (get it? ’cause that one really famous guy on the Steelers is named Roethlisberger?)
Also, I gave Briggs his birthday present a few days early…funny enough, on the 16th, which is when he got his birthday present when we were first dating (Janeane Garofalo was doing a show at the used to be LBC on the 16th, and he totally loves her, so…she was really funny. It was fun.)
<–can you blame him? She’s totally cute.
This year I did not get him an adorable comedian, however. But I did get him something else he has been wanting for a while:

I told him that now he has to become a traveling minstrel and learn songs that include lines like ‘with a tra-la-la and a tra-la-la!’
And probably get tights.
<–except this guy has a lute, not a mandolin…which you can tell by the weird bendy neck.
Not much else new in the land of me. I really want to take my camera out and take pictures of things lately…maybe I’ll get a chance this coming week.
Anyway, time to get dressed for the grindstone.
