It is currently 11.9 degrees out.
Half an hour or so ago it was about 9.something.
I didn’t think it actually got that cold in places where real people live.
Tomorrow is my last real day of class for drawing and perspective. I have about 3/4 (I hope that much) of my 1 point perspective drawing done….I had to cheat and take some reference photos to work from and draw inside my house, though. I REALLY tried to sit outside and draw, but when I started loosing feeling and motor-skills in my fingers, my detail work started seriously going downhill.
You know, they call them fingers, but I’ve never seen them fing.
It snowed most of yesterday. It was a very exciting experience for me. Now the snow is built up on sidewalks and cars, stepped on and re-frozen and hard and crunchy; a far way from the powdery fluff of yesterday.
Briggs took some pictures of me in the snow:

I should get ready for work soonish. What I really want to do is call out and finish studying and working on homework, rather than cramming it all in tonight after I get home. Stupid work.
EDIT: Called out of work. The bottom line was that either course would make me feel irresponsible, and while I enjoy working at Joseph Beth, they pay me minimum wage and working in a bookstore is not my career goal, but I pay AIP a BUTTLOAD of mulah (well, eventually) and art IS my career goal. So spending the day doing homework wins. Yay! Almost Christmas break! Whoo-hoo for the quarter system!

Dude,
I would die there. I mean, it’s just that kristins must be warm. If they are not warm, they start to slowly curl up and die. In a place like that, I’m pretty sure the dying process would happen a lot quicker.
What I’m saying is – don’t expect me to visit until like, June.
It’s totally warm INSIDE my house!
And it’s weird…snowy air TASTES kind of good. Breathing it makes me feel like I just drank a frosty glass of spring water.
I couldn’t handle the weather when I lived in Iowa – I don’t know how you can do it!
I’m too tired to leave a real comment, but I have been reading.
PA is bad.
CA is good.
