So, I didn’t work yesterday ’cause the store is having a big event this Friday and needs as many people there as possible. Along with our spring sale being on Friday, this guy:
is doing a book signing. I guess he’s a big deal in the Christian community? Anyway, we expect a big turnout. There’s also some other guy coming at 7, but I don’t remember who because a) I’m off by then and b) everyone is so concerned with Rev. Osteen that no one really cares about the other dude. Aww…now I feel bad.
Anyway, having Tuesday and Wednesday in a row off was fantastic–I got to spend some serious quality time on my project, and have finished all of my base colors and the first panel of my shading (which I don’t want to post until I see if the rest of it measures up — panel one looks GOOD)… however, apparently Murphy was less than thrilled with me having a good run of homework doing and decided to make me pay for it in the future.
So…Briggs has been looking for a second job, ’cause we are poor and hope to move to an apartment that is better and cheaper than this one when the lease runs out. Well…he finally got an interview and is very excited.
This morning he realized that his interview is tomorrow morning at 8 am.
He was initially going to have to drop me off about half an hour early, since we will both be starting work at 10 am. Realizing that he had the interview, however, means he will be dropping me off about 2 and a half hours early. And I will have to wake up super early. SUCK. SERIOUSLY uncool. He called to try to reschedule, but human resources isn’t in today.
Oh well. I’ll be hanging out in a coffee shop. I should be okay.
Okay, I should go get ready for school.
P.S.
I made awesomely delicious pasta sauce last night.
