cute!
Now that I have completed my impression of dropping off the face of the earth…
No, seriously, Sunday morning was the first time I even got the chance to sit down at my computer since I completed my Typography final project (which is not yet posted). I had time to get up to date on myspace blogs and the zillion emails from my mom asking if I was still alive, since she hadn’t heard anything from me in over a week, but that’s as far as I got before family obligations pulled me away again.
Basically, I’ve been so busy that my head almost exploded a couple times. A quick rundown:
Moved into the Foundation (Torchwood) a week or two before the end of the month. Spent all free time juggling between upcoming finals homework and attempting to get at least a few things out of boxes.
June 2- Heather M arrived from CA. We picked her up at the airport around 8am, then hung out for a few hours before Briggs had to drop me off at school and took her back to Torchwood. That evening we spent a couple hours catching up before mutual exhaustion knocked us both out. On Wednesday, she was given an excellent opportunity to familiarize herself with the middle of nowhere that we live in while Briggs and I were at work. She looked forward to Thursday, when I would be home all day.
She was sorely disappointed when I had to spend the entire day off cloistered in my room hunched over my tablet working on a final project.
On Friday, she came to work with me (and discovered H&M) so that afterward, we could drag her to the geekiness that is weekly Game night. She now has a random amnesiac character that was threatened with physical injury by pretty much everyone in our party…but then welcomed into our fold when the evil forces of Law Enforcement Authorities were about to arrive on the scene.
Saturday, she hung out at the fun house in the boonies again while Briggs and I worked. On Sunday I finished my Final homework around 11:30pm. On Monday we took it to be printed and then introduced Heather to the wonder of Ikea before dragging her to Briggs’ sister’s house for dinner.
Tuesday was my last day of school. Wednesday was fun work again. On Thursday, I finally had a day off in which no homework needed doing, which Heather and I took full advantage of, looking sexy and exploring DahnTahn. I have pictures, but they aren’t off my camera yet.
Friday and Saturday I worked again.
Sunday was Father’s Day and Briggs’ stepmom’s birthday, so Heather got to meet more of Briggs’ family. Which excited her to no end. Both of us looked super cute, though. I have a few more un-uploaded pictures from that day as well.
On Monday (this would be yesterday, now), H and I went to the Boyce Park wave pool with Heather Carvell as a late birthday celebration. It was fun, the pool tried to steal my swimsuit many many times, and my pale, nocturnal skin got scorched a tad bit even through my 50spf waterbabies. Swimming and sunburns were exhausting and Heather and I both ended up napping at some point in the evening, and Briggs (who spent the day helping his Brother in Law tear out sheet rock) almost succumbed…I made muffins and then Briggs created delicious food from the frozen ‘make your own gyros’ pack we got at Giant Eagle.
Today, H and I have plans of attempting to get the house into a tiny bit more order than it has at present.
Once I get photos and pictures uploaded, I will post a prettier and less boring blog, but for now I’m off to check my DeviantArt, where I am sure that there are about 1,000,000 journals and deviations waiting to be viewed…. ugh!
