Random Fanart

A doodle inspired by my belief that a heart-broken, post Doomsday Doctor would totally have taken his TARDIS back once in a while to a time before Rose met him, just to see her face again.

What?  I’m a romantic!  You should know that by now!

Not a lot new in two days…

WELL….Heather and I went to Burgandy’s baby shower which was pretty cool.  They fed us which was SUPER cool, and there was fresh iced coffee which was amazingly awesome.

No, seriously, it WAS fun.  I even made a Mad at my Cat about it!  Hot though.  Stupid summer.  And to think that just a few months ago I was thinking wistfully of the sultry days of mid-July.  Silly me.

Afterward, Heather and I got dropped off to wait for Briggs at Make Your Mark–an awesome coffee shop in Point Breeze that I may have mentioned before…they have (along with great coffee and a delicious vegitarian menu) sketch pads on all the tables and a magnetic wall for people to post their doodled masterpieces on.  It’s a fun, friendly atomosphere…and the owner recognized me as the girl who sold her Twilight the other day–which she LOVED.  :)

Then

We went to see

the Dark Knight.

Yeah, it was all that.  Just pure, undiluted Awesomesauce.

Also, great previews:

James Bond

The Watchmen

New Terminator movie (I had no idea!)

…I remember there being a few others as well, but I don’t recall off the top of my head which ones they were.

Anyway, The Dark Knight is parallel with Wall-E for movies that you darn well better go see.

Also in the “wow that was super awesome” category this week:

Doctor Horrible’s Sing-along Blog

If you love Joss Wheaton, think Neil Patrick Harris is hillarious, or just enjoy cleverly written mini-musicals full in equal parts of humor, angst and all-around talent, SEE THIS.  You should be able to watch it free online, and it won’t take very long.

If you haven’t heard about it, Doctor Horrible’s Sing-along Blog is a short musical in three acts starring Neil Patrick Harris as Doctor Horrible, a mad scientist (who’s goals tend to border more on ‘fix the world’ than ‘enslave the world’) in love with Felicia Day (that chick from the internet broadcast ‘The Guild‘) but still trying to work up the nerve to even talk to her.  He finally overcomes his shyness, only to have his arch nemisis Captian Hammer (Nathan Fillion) swoop in and steal the girl.  While dealing with romantic angst and trying to get out of the ‘Friend Zone’, Doctor H is also attempting to gain entrance to a super-evil secret society.

Trust me.  Doctor Horrible’s Sing-along Blog is awesome and totally worth watching.

It is also cool because Joss made it for free.  The actors worked for free, and acts were released to the internet for download by Joss.  He will be releasing it as a DVD set that can be purchased that will have extras and has vague hopes of potentially making the money back that he spent making DHSAB, but he just made it ’cause he wanted to.  And it rocks.

Other filth I’ve been filling my brain with, Heather and I watched the series finale of Avatar yesterday.

<–I do not want to tell you how much disturbing Avatar porn came up when I did a google image search for an image for this spot…

Yay!  And I ALMOST got the moment I wanted, but then, it didn’t happen.  *pout*

Oh well, it rocked anyway.  Seriously, some wicked good final battle scenes…Zuko facing off against crazy (and I mean CRAZY) Azula,  Iroh and…well…you’ll see.  And of course, the Avatar in his mad battle against the Firelord.  Awesome.

As for other stuff I’ve been doing:  not much.  Reading ‘Lamb’ by Christopher Moore:

And trying to make my math homework add up.  Stupid rational number equations.

I think I may make Heather watch Casino Royale tonight, since she has never seen it.

<–mmm….Daniel Craig
