Life continues at it’s usual pace.
My typography class drives me further and further to frustration as it becomes clearer that my teacher is clueless about teaching.
Work is work. Work-like.
Recent reads:
<–humerous and enjoyable story about an overweight werewolf and a balding vampire who stop at a diner in Arizona with a zombie problem. For fans of humerous horror, I highly recommend.
<– a gally book that a co-worker offered to me ’cause it looked pretty and had fairies. This book carries the esteemed honor of being a piece of writing so bad that I actually stopped reading it. I never do that.
Currently reading:
<–the first book in Kelly Armstrong’s new YA series — very enjoyable book about a teenage girl who sees ghosts. Has a lot of the feel of Armstrong’s ‘Women of the Otherworld’ series, just toned down for a younger audience. No werewolf sex in the woods. So far. Story that has kept my interest and helped banish those post-twilight blues.
Currently watching:
<– Dexter. What can I say? There is something quite appealing about a series whose protagonist and narrator is a sociopathic serial killer. I mean, he only really kills other serial killers anyway, and I love the flashbacks to his childhood and his foster father teaching him how to channel his murderous impulses and blend in with regular people that have emotions and desires. Good on you, Showtime, good on you. Oh, and did anyone who watches this catch the fact that the fake Doctor name he was using was ‘Doctor Patrick Bateman’ (Patrick Bateman being the name of the title character in American Psycho)?
I found an amazingly marvelous book today that I must own and will likely serve me well for years to come:
<–it’s purpose is to explain the social and psychological connotations of every color and it’s tints, tones and shades (e.g.red is exciting and sexy, pink nostalgic or girlie and burgandy refined and sensual) giving visual examples of not only color swatches, but also advertisements and product packaging. In the second half of the book, examples are given of color combinations that will give a certain feel to your work. Want something opulent? Try using some of the combinations on this page. Something outdoorsy? These are mixes that will work well. Sporty and vital? Try some of these.

This is a book I can see being eminently useful to me for ages.
Ugh. I best to bed. Morning looms closer every moment, though I rail against it. Stupid morning. Never does what I say.
