snarky

Does the fact that I take great joy in laughing at stupid people make me a bad person?

…yeah. Probably does.

Rocked it.

Guess who got an ‘A’ on her math midterm?

Yeah. It was me.

I shun your ‘titles’

…which just gave me a ‘Celebrity Jeopardy/Sean Connery’ flashback….

Today’s random contents of my brain:

Ran late today, between me clinging to every last shred of sleep I could justify this morning, and our apparent failure to sacrifice properly to certain traffic deities. (A mile-long biker funeral procession? Really?)
Also, I want to know why, on the days I decide that my outfit choice for the day will be of the ‘simple/comfortable/casual’ type, it takes multiple clothing changes to find pieces that will fill my need. Today I wanted pants, a t-shirt and a hoodie. No makeup even. But I went through 4 pairs of pants and at least 3 different shirts before I found something that filled my comfortable requirement and also my ‘look like a human while out in public’ requirement.

Still nothing exciting or new to fill anyone who might read this in on. Between the classes that I don’t love this quarter and job that is slowly but surely moving down the typical path of deciding that the department that handles awesome needs to be cut and replaced with a department that handles becoming-more-corporate-and-getting-sticks-up-their-butts, there is nothing thrilling me and filling me with vim. Although I learned a new word yesterday that I like:
Spindrift
This refers to the mist caused by strong winds blowing across sea-water.

I am still slowly but determinedly searching for a new last name.
I want something interesting and ‘me’ without being either blatantly hippyish or a direct silly nab from a piece of popular culture that I enjoy, though a more subtle reference would be fine. For example, I think that ‘TARDIS’ is out, but I have recently begun contemplating ‘Renfield’. Any opinions?
“Rachel Carlyle Renfield”…I think it has potential.
Eh. We’ll see. Suggestions are, as always, welcome. Just think! You could have the distinction of helping to name me!
You know, as I approach the end of my 20′s.
I blame it on Briggs’ ex-coworker Rob. I had played with the idea of changing my name, but never really got determined until he followed his dreams and changed his last name to ‘Ghost’–a name choice that regarded something that he loves and that has meaning to him. After that, I suppose it came down to the fact that someone I actually know changed their name just because they wanted to, so the possibility took on more reality.

Okay, enough rambling for now. Back to schoolwork.
Later skaters.
