Hurray!

As you may or may not have noticed, my blog has been out of commission for the past 3 days or so.

Thanks to the time and effort of this man, your hero and mine, it is once again in service:

Adam, you rock my socks.

Of course, some changes were made, mostly to the behind-the-counter areas of my blog, so now I’m having to figure out where everything is living.  Bear with me.

During the time I have been away, however shockingly, nothing really exciting has happened.  No super powers discovered, no South American countries conquered, no lotteries won.  Neither in the American nor the Shirley Jackson sense.

What I HAVE done:

Enjoyed snow.

Made Briggs cupcakes for his big three-oh.  German chocolate-y delicious.

Inadvertently rhymed.

Done homework(currently:book cover for a book of my choice.  SWEET!).

Gotten told good things by the teachers I do no typography for and less good things for the teachers with type-heavy classes.

Played rock band, even a little with the instruments.  I could manage bass okay.  On easy mode.  If the string changes weren’t too fast and furious. Not drums though.  No way in heck.

Watched Top Gear and Black Adder (ty Jim!).

Had the stupid water loose heat on me halfway through a bath AGAIN.

Read the first two and half of the third book of Mercedes Lackey’s Last Herald Mage trilogy.  Mmm…sword-and-sorcery fantasy fluff.

Signed up for next quarter’s classes.

ANNNNNDDD…yeah.  I think that’s about it.  Aren’t you all sad that you missed out on to-the-minute updates on the inanities of my days?  You know you are.

Oh wait…one more thing…wrote an ode to coffee, which I share with you now:

God bless the caffeine rush

The bloody flush

up

in a cup

vigor and passion

with a dash of cream

veins that pulse with a stadium scream

jittery joy

leaves sunlight burns

purge concerns of

fearful lacks

sear soft sadness

to bitter black

and a dash of cream.
