Today was significantly less sucky than last Monday. My painting class was pretty good…I was, overall, pretty happy with what I accomplished today. Last week I was very frustrated, and felt that my painting just didn’t…pop.

My teacher told me today that he loves it and I have to frame it, though. He likes my fresh, clean washes, that have appropriate watercolor transparency. He made me promise to frame it. haha! Today we were working on glazes (a couple layers of wash over the whole paper with the exclusion of some white shapes in the middle…my teacher, for example, likes doing fishing boats reflecting on the water) and I was not unsatisfied with how it came out, despite a few technical faults. My teacher told me he liked it as well and that I’m ‘a good painter’. Hah!

Anyway, my computer literacy class always annoys me, ’cause I always manage to screw something up on my computer or not be able to figure something out that’s totally simple and then I feel really stupid when my teacher shows me the one-click solution, or something I already TOTALLY knew but was just blanking on. However, today we DID learn something I didn’t know how to do — Excel formulas. Annoying and math-like, but new to me regardless. And now when I tell potential employers that I know Excel I’ll be lying a little less. We also learned how to turn numbers into graphs, which is neat. 
Other stuff — I signed up for a scheduling meeting and got paperwork from my financial adviser for FAFSA. It’s less cold than last night, and snowing. The snow isn’t heavy, but it’s been so cold lately that it’s sticking with no problem. I chatted a little with Brendan online and a for a while with Adam, which was awesome. I miss them.

The picture was taken when we went to SF for my birthday last year. This is at the Geirdelli (sp?) ice cream place.
I’m really only online (or on instant messenger rather) on Monday evenings when I’m in Computer Literacy class. I should give you a phone call, though.
