New Year’s Redux

I really like the word redux. I’m not sure as to the exact definition, if it’s REALLY really a word or if I’m using it in any way that resembles grammatical correctness. I just think it sounds cool.

Anyway, here’s a photo Briggs took of me on the 31st/1st that I think is pretty.

I had used my new straightening shampoo to ensure that my hair was super curly.

This photo is for Adam, ’cause according to Briggs, I look a little crazy and creepy:

This is our DM.  It was a sticking pencils in hair kind of night:

This is the fountain behind my work.  I’m just posting it ’cause ”ooh…pretty”:

So, were you being ironic about using straightening shampoo to make your hair curly, or was actually your goal?

    No, it was my goal.
    Though the situation was ironic.
You see, I bought the shampoo for it’s intended purpose, assuming that my tresses would come out silky and sleek.
The first time I used it, I let my hair air dry to see what the effect of the shampoo would be with no tampering.
I had ringlets. Better ones than when I tried for them.
My hair is contrary. What can I say?
But now, if I want to go for a curly coquettish look, I wash my hair with the straightening shampoo and conditioner and scrunch it a little as it dries.
    Weird.
    Story of my life.

The second picture, though you can’t tell as well around all the pencils, I used my other shampoo and blow dried my hair and it came out all silky.
And yeah, I HAVE tried styling my hair as it dries with the straightening shampoo, in case it nees specific encouragement to work properly. That’s not the problem. My hair still has a decided wave, even when blown dry.
