Any time I do an image search on Google for any variation of the word ‘teen’ 90% of my results are porn.
Today I was looking for logos from Target’s ‘R+R Teen’ line for a school paper.
I got porn.
A few days ago, I was looking for a nice wholesome picture of adolescent girls to illustrate my ‘tween girls dig Buffy’ comment.
I got porn.
I found this particularly disturbing since I specifically searched the term ‘tween’. True, the images that came up WERE post-pubescent, but none-the-less, that is a word that, IMHO, should NOT be associated with naked girls. Maybe it’s just me.
Of course, to put this in perspective, when I searched for ‘Avatar: the Last Airbender’ images a couple months ago, I ALSO got porn. Some of it naughty water-tribe sibling porn, quite a few rather creative group sex fan drawings.
Perhaps the lesson here is: 90% of the internet is porn.
<--most of it much skeezier than this.
