The weather is dreadful and it’s a great time to stay inside and watch random
crap and surf the internet…and even if you live in California where it’s gorgeous…well, your state has no money and you are most likely too broke to go do anything. (too mean?)
So, this and that, stuff I’ve stumbled upon this week:
Leverage–
I discovered this show while looking up information on Christian Kane (those
of you who have watched Angel will remember him as the somewhat evil lawyer of the ever-popular firm, Wolfram and Hart.) Kane’s IMDB profile mentioned that he was in a new show, about a group of professional thieves that end up forming a team to get one back for the little guy: The poor midwestern family who can’t get their medical bills paid because, despite the fact that
_____ corporation is blatantly responisble for their health problems, _____ Corp. is much richer and more powerful than a couple of dirt farmers and able to crush them legally. The race horse trainer who’s stable was burnt down for insurance money by the horses’ owner, but is cast as the negligent party, ruining his reputation and business, so the owner can get his payout.
Comments on IMDB suggested that the show was well cast and well written, so I decided to give it a shot.
Well, so far, I’m enjoying it. There have been one or two times when I have had to suspend my disbelief or felt that characters were written into situations that didn’t quite wash, but overall, it’s a lot of fun and quite entertaining.
The other cool thing I found this week is called The Gorgeous Tiny Chicken
Machine Show. Yes, it’s as weird as the name would suggest.
Imagine…PeeWee’s Playhouse, for a slightly more adult audience, and instead of being hosted by Paul Reubens, hosted by a slightly crazy, incredibly cute Japanese girl with a less than perfect grasp of the English language. Episodes can be found online, including on Hulu, and are…I don’t know…5 or 10 minutes long? Really silly, really funny. And a unicow.
My hamsters:
Their food dish has been emptying REALLY quickly. I figured that they were just pigs. Well, I filled it about two days ago, and it’s empty again. And my hamsters are really small…how much could they really eat in a couple days?

A month or two ago, Briggs got an extension kit for their habitat, and they have entirely filled the cozy den at the end with bedding, all the way to the top.
After wondering at their rapid depletion of food, it occurred to me that, as burrowing rodents, perhaps the now-fluffy den isn’t just a warm place to hang out. A short while later my suspicions were confirmed when a back angle of the Plexiglas room afforded a view of numerous uneaten seeds stockpiled under all the blue fluff. My hamsters are so responsible. ^_^
The last thing I want to share with you is another *facepalm* bit of news regarding people taking certain things a little too seriously and being CRAZY.
My pizza fell on the floor and I’m super sad. ;_; Stupid gravity.
