a brief update

School:
This quarter I am enrolled in Nutrition (‘science’ credit), Design Marketing, Intermediate Illustration and Corporate Identity. So far I am mostly enjoying all of my classes…
Nutrition fails to make me care (not because I don’t care about the topic but because a) I care about art more and b) our teacher seems to simply be regurgitating whatever ‘government health guidelines’ are in place this year.) but there are some cool people in the class and I loaned the instructor one of my favorite and nutrition relevant books. Yes. That one.
Design Marketing is cool but daunting, because we have just one giant project for the whole quarter and are working in groups to do said project, but still a cool project, and taught by a teacher I have had before and like fairly well.
Illustration is actually what it says on the tin. We are doing a project drawing robots right now. I love everything about the class and just hope I can make a good showing.
Corporate Identity seems not bad, although I have started the class with the teacher expecting big things out of me which is slightly intimidating. But, friends in the class and logo design projects, so…coolio!

Outside of school…well, mostly I’ve been doing homework. I have a TON this quarter. But…
- Kitten continues to grow in size and in trouble-making ability, Nova continues to adore him and Mercury continues to be in a snit. There are many times that he is very lucky that he is adorable or he would get drowned a little.
- After a few warm days, we have had nice rain showers for the past two or three, and I am reminded again how much I enjoy east coast rain in the summer.
- Today, for Design Marketing homework, Briggs and I are going to the nearby yuppie-er area (Leechburg and Apollo) to go to a bunch of coffee shops. Yes. That is homework. AWESOME.
- After coffee-drinking homework, we are going to go see the new Harry Potter movie! Yay! (this means I will probably be drinking coffee in a white dress shirt, grey pleated skirt and blue and white striped tie.)
